18 to compete for 2024 Queen title


Eighteen of the country’s top female calypsonians will compete for the title of National Calypso Queen 2024.


The competition which is run by the National Women’s Action Committee (NWAC) will be held on Sunday January 21 at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s.

Last year’s winner Tameka Darius will defend her crown.


The finalists for the annual Carnival competition are:

• Jerrisha Duncan-Regis

• ↓Kerine Williams-Figaro (Tiny)

• Lisa Roberts

• Louisa Smith

• Meguella Simon

• Naomi Sinnette

• Queen Marion

• Queen Voice

• Roslyn Reid

• Samantha Johnson

• Singing Sonia

• Sweet Esterlina

• The Messenger

• Wendy Garrick

The event will also see cultural icon and Caribbean songstress Ella Andall being honoured.
