An embattled ‘Eskimo’...Trinidad Killa’s guerilla tactics spark copyright debate


That was the cheeky one-liner from Full Blown music producers/singers Kory and Kevon Hart when asked to comment on the uproar surrounding Trinidad Killa’s (Kern Joseph) unauthorised use of their popular Big Links Riddim for his viral hit “Eskimo”.


The phrase, lifted from the chorus line of their own Carnival 2025 hit, “Good Spirits”, which also features on the Big Links Riddim, added a touch of irony to the heated debate.


TK’s emotive “Eskimo” struck a chord with soca fans, amassing over 100,000 views in just two days before being pulled from YouTube for copyright infringement.


The incident has ignited heated debate in the soca community, with opinions divided on whether the New York, USA-based entertainer’s actions were a bold move for recognition or a blatant disregard for copyright laws. Read More
