The inspiration? A near-fatal car accident that could have easily ended his journey. But instead, it became the spark that reignited his purpose.
Exactly one month before the song’s release, on his birthday, Nathanael survived what could have been a deadly crash. The wreckage of his vehicle left police officers shaking their heads, convinced they were looking at the aftermath of a fatal crash.
“She looked at me and asked, ‘How many deaths? How many people were in that vehicle’” Nathanael recalled. “I told her, ‘Just one… just the driver.’ And when she realised that driver was me, standing right in front of her without a scratch, she couldn’t believe it.”
