Grenadians were promised a drone and fireworks show that they will never forget and indeed the 50th anniversary of Independence celebrations at the National Stadium will be etched in the minds of those who witnessed the historic milestone.
With the use of over 500 drones, Grenada presented a production timed to music with detailed narration highlighting important people, places, and moments in the nation’s history in a breathtaking show that was emotional for many.
Grenada's first Prime Minister Sir Eric Gairy, Former Prime Minister Maurice Bishop and Dr Keith Mitchell, Grenada's longest-serving Prime Minister, were honoured in the drone display. Grenada's sporting hero, Olympic medallist Kirani James, was portrayed running in the sky. Read More
