Veteran soca star Neil “Iwer” George will make an official statement on his controversial Carnival 2024 release, “Happy People”, today.
George has faced mounting pressure to withdraw the song from the public domain following widespread public outcry over his use of the national anthem in the jump-and-wave track.
“The response will be on my social media first thing tomorrow morning,” George told the Express yesterday.
